Laura Starkie is raising money for UK Sepsis Trust
In memory of Isabel Connolly-Wellock
Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection. Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.

Story

Isabel Kate Connolly-Wellock died after a short period of illness on Friday, March 31 in the Royal Blackburn hospital, aged 16 years.

Isabel was born in Waterfoot where she lived all of her life. She attended Waterfoot Primary school and All Saints' RC school, Rawtenstall.

Isabel was in Year 11 and an extremely popular and well liked pupil. Isabel had a loyal and close group of friends and will be remembered by all who met her as a lovely, caring young person. Isabel always had excellent school reports for the progress she was making and for her attendance, punctuality and behaviour.

Her passion was artwork and she excelled in her mock GCSEs. She also enjoyed walking her dog, Albert.

Isabel was a very kind and gentle soul and will be very sadly missed by all her teachers and fellow pupils. She leaves her parents Ian and Geraldine, sister Bryde, grandma Barbara, aunties, uncles, cousins and many friends.

The UK Sepsis Trust is the charity chosen by Isabel's family. All Saints' RC High School will be organising future fundraising events in memory of Isabel.

Thank you for taking the time to donate.
