Each year, hundreds of young people make the decision to commit to a year or two of service with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. Send Me to Serve (SMTS) provides the opportunity for Jesuit Volunteers (JVs) to share their decision with friends and family!

Story

This Fall I am going to be a Jesuit Volunteer (JV) at Verbum Dei, an all-boys Christo Rey High school in Los Angeles.The Jesuit Volunteer Corps engages young people in service that aims to build a more just and hopeful world.

At Verbum Dei, I will be working in college preparation classes and campus ministry. I am most looking forward to living in community with my school and fellow JVs. Thank you so much for taking some time to learn more about JVC, I cannot wait for my journey to begin!
