2.6 Challenge - Back Yard Swimming · 6 May 2020

Youth Sport Trust is the UK’s leading children’s charity improving education and development through PE, sport and play. We equip educators and empower young people with inclusive programmes, practical tools and community support to help every child thrive.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As an active swimmer who usually trains 5 times a week I am missing the pool, so Mum has set one up in the back yard to help my fitness. I thought I would also undertake the 2.6 challenge. School have set some of their own challenges and asked us to raise some money for The Youth Sport Trust but I’m going to do my own.

I plan to create my own training sessions which will last 26 minutes, and I will complete at least 26 of these before the end of May.

The Youth Sport Trust is a charity working to ensure that every young
person enjoys the life-changing benefits that come from play and
sport.

They aim to build a brighter future for all young people and at Flixton Girls School we have benefited from their many programmes including - leadership, wellbeing and sport.

WHAT IS THE 2.6 CHALLENGE?

The UK’s charities need your help............

The Covid-19 pandemic has had a catastrophic effect with the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of billions in income through fundraising events.

When we are able to return to sports we need to ensure that local clubs, organisations can continue to support the our youth
