Story
In January 2020, our Bappy was diagnosed with cancer. Sadly, it was incurable and we couldn’t do anything about it and he sadly lost his fight on 23rd February 2020. We are all completely devastated and will miss him terribly. Bappy was a huge fan of sports and was very athletic for pretty much the whole of his life. In his honour his oldest grandchildren (Isabelle, Lottie, Freddie, Olivia, and Joe) want to run a 5km run to raise money for this worthy cause. We all wish that anybody who has cancer will be saved by the amazing work these charities are doing helping to save many lives and find new cures to help others. Please be generous when donating as all the money donated goes to a great cause!
UPDATE
The race was planned for Sunday 19th of July 2020 at Verulamium Park , St Albans but due the Coronavirus pandemic this was sadly cancelled. However, we are still keen to run this race in our Bappy’s honour and to fulfil the commitment to all our sponsors. So, with the support of our local triathlon club members, we will finally be completing our run at a small local event on Sunday 6th September at Abbots Langley cricket club at 10am. If anyone wants to come to watch us, your support will be greatly appreciated! However, we will need to observe social distancing- so please be mindful and ensure you keep yourself safe.
