Story
Hi everyone,
This October, I’ll be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise money for Refuge, a charity that supports women and children escaping domestic abuse. It’s a cause that matters deeply to me, and I’d be really grateful for any support you can offer.
Now – because I know you’re a competitive bunch – I’m adding a challenge:
🎯 If I raise £1,500, I’ll aim for a 2:10 finish.
🎯 If I raise £3,000, I’ll push for 2:05.
🎯 And if we somehow hit £5,000, I’ll go full tilt and target sub 2 hours.
(For context: my last attempt at a 20K race was the Marseille-Cassis in 2017. I proudly finished in 2h25, so yes, sub-2 would be wild.)
In other words: you now have the collective power to make my summer completely miserable. Long runs. Tempo runs. No wine. Early mornings. Terrible tan lines. I trust you’ll use this power responsibly. (Or not.)
Thanks so much for reading – and wish me luck!
Best,
Isabelle (and ChatGPT obviously😉)
