Story
Hi, my name is Isabel, and I’m 10 years old. On 31st May 2026, I am taking on a big challenge: running 8.5 miles in the Sutton Fun Run. I’m doing this in memory of my amazing Mum, Sarah, who I miss every single day.
Why I’m Running
Last year, my mum sadly died from cancer. She was the best mum in the whole world—always kind, funny, and she always knew how to make me smile. Watching her go through her illness was really hard, but she was so brave. I want to be brave just like her.
Running 8.5 miles is going to be the hardest thing I’ve ever done. I’ve never run this far before! But I know that whenever my legs feel tired, I’ll be thinking of mum and how much she’d be cheering me on.
How Your Support Helps
I am raising money for St Giles Hospice. They are a charity my mum believed in and they helped my family when mum was poorly, and I want to help them so they can take care of other families too.
Every donation, no matter how small, makes a huge difference. It helps continue their excellent work, providing a tranquil place for patients and their families to share their loved ones last moments
Thank you so much for reading my story and for helping me reach my goal. It means the world to me to do something special for my Mum.
Love, Isabel x
