Hello everyone!

I will be part of a team of volunteers heading out to Uganda in August 2023, which will assist in transforming an empty field at a local school into a bright, adventurous playground for children! 

As children, we all took the use of playgrounds for granted, we didn't appreciate them like we should have. All children deserve the opportunity to have safe play equipment in their school to live out their childhood.  

Personally, I have always wanted to do a volunteering trip so when this opportunity came around, it was hard to pass up. When the charity had told me that a lot of children in Uganda often don't know how to play or use the playground equipment, it made me realise how lucky I was as a child. I hope to bring some of that joy to children in Africa!
