Story
Greetings everyone, hope you are having a fantastic day. I am Ishambard, and I will be taking on 60 Hours of Gaming in November for Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM).
CALM exists to support everyone through the messy, beautiful reality of being human. They make suicide prevention part of people’s daily lives. From their life-saving helpline, through to their practical tips, advice and resources - all their tools are designed to help you look after yourself and the people you care about.
Something that CALM say a lot is, stopping suicide starts with all of us - one act at a time. That act doesn't have to be a massive gesture or commitment, just asking someone how their day was, or discussing the things they are interested in, even the act of basic human decency can go along way. In my line of work, I often tell people that small acts can have a big impact.
I will live streaming on my YouTube channel, https://www.youtube.com/@ishambard , my journey through 60 Hours of gaming in November, playing a myriad of Retro Games from my childhood. In doing so, I am hoping to play my small part in uniting against suicide.
Every £12.20 I raise could pay for a life-saving call to CALM's suicide prevention helpline. Helping more people to see a way forward.
Thank you for joining me in uniting against suicide.
