Story
Hello Everyone - again
Many of you may remember back in April 2021 I shared my deep gratitude for a lady I find super inspirational, determined, dedicated, devotional and fun-loving - my wife - Bhava.
She has had this wild dream to run a marathon for the last two years and now, in only 6 weeks, she will be taking part in “THE” London Marathon!!
Of course this year it is virtual - which is a bit of a bummer as the crowds and participants add an extra flavour and boost to the spirits. Nevertheless, she will be running 26.2 miles (42k) on her own with just her headphones and the Lord in her heart.
As I mentioned before, about 6 years ago she had some serious health issues and had to adjust her lifestyle.
This wasn’t so easy with the lifestyle we led, although very healthy in one sense, but simultaneously surrounded by amazingly, rich pure vegetarian food, all the time, super busy service schedules and meditation more focused on spiritual development rather than bodily consciousness, meant it was a challenge.
Well she met the challenge head on with a new found love for running - that started with a couch to 5K, then 10K, many park races, charity runs and now a wall full of medals and 3 Half Marathons under her running belt. WOW! What an amazing achievement. I mean, I thought she would be ready to stop there - but NO, not her she wants the FULL MARATHON success as well!!! - Just thinking about it makes me tired. :)
In April, when she ran the Half Marathon - so many wonderful friends and family came forward to show support and encourage her, this really lifted her spirits and enthusiasm. We are so grateful for all the kindness and love that was shown at that time.
She is a very private person in general and TBH is very shy about me writing all of this, but I can not help myself and as the Marathon draws nearer I want to tell everyone how hard she works to make this happen and how much of a challenge it is for her, but she is so sincere and so serious. She doesn’t just run for fun but for her health, so that she can continue to serve the Lord for many years to come, with the machinery He gave her. She is a truly dedicated and devotional lady with a heart full of love. She is so determined, but a little nervous as well, to finally be going for it!
Bhava - you are my rock of inspiration, your example encourages me everyday to know that anything is possible if we simply set our mind to it and try to do it for a higher purpose. I will be with you as much as I can on the Marathon day and I am here to support you along the way! May Krishna bless you with the energy and will power to cross that finish line!
On your marks, get set - GO!!!
If you wanna sponsor and show support - then please feel free.
