Tough Mudder in Memory of Isla

Tough Mudder London South · 25 October 2014 to 26 October 2014 ·
Sam and I tragically lost our baby daughter Isla Beau, who was stillborn on the 10th May 2014. Whilst no one should have to suffer the tragic loss of a baby, it unfortunately happens more often than you realise; every year in the UK over 6,500 babies die just before, during or soon after birth. That is 17 babies a day lost to parents that were preparing for them to come home, to love and to cherish as any parent would, only to have them ripped away from them before they have a chance to live.
SAND's is the Stillbirth and Neonatal death charity, they operate throughout the UK, supporting anyone that has been affected by the death of a baby and promoting and funding research to reduce the number of babies that are lost. For more info visit www.uk-sands.org
The loss of our daughter is quite honestly the toughest thing that we have ever had to deal with, with that in mind we have decided to sign up to do the toughest event possible to show that no matter how challenging life can be strength can be found in those around you.
We have enlisted a group of friends and family to sign up to do "Tough Mudder" on the 25th October, Tough Mudder is a hardcore 10-12 mile obstacle race, designed by the special forces to challenge the toughest of the tough. The event is a team event, challenging your strength, stamina, mental grit and more importantly your teamwork. For more information visit: www.toughmudder.co.uk
We have been hugely grateful to all of the people that have agreed to sign up to support us, and raise money for SAND's in Isla's memory.
The list is still growing but so far the team comprises of:
Dee & Sam Mager, Adam Mager, Amy Taylor, Karen Taylor, Donna Carbery, Fiona McIntyre-Fry, Rupert Mills, Wayne Trunchion, Chris Ewan, Anthony Cox, Sam Ahern, Mark Craddock, Mark Stephens, Karl Birt, Sanchia Mitchell, Ollie Dove-Ould, Ollie Ould, Chris Robshaw, Claudia Smith, Kelly & Neil Nicholson, Nicola James & Danny Davies, Chris & Rachel Hardman, James Drewett, Louise Palmer, Luke Handley, Alex Sanz.
Any and every
donation made will go to SAND's. If our money can help support just one
grieving parent, or fund research to save just one child, our efforts will be
worth it. Believe me when I say that Tough Mudder is nothing compared to the
grief of losing a baby.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to
support us, whether it be doing the event itself, or sponsoring us. It really
means a lot.
