Isla’s been fighting high-risk neuroblastoma since her first birthday. She is lively, happy, playful and bubbly, and enjoys playing with her twin sister, Lottie and older brother, Finn.

Story

Isla, one of my friends daughter, was diagnosed with cancer (neuroblastoma stage 4 high risk) on her first birthday in 2016. After 15 months of intensive treatment at Great Ormond Street Hospital she is reaching the end of UK frontline treatment. Isla has responded incrediblely well, however chances of relapse are petrifying with survival rates of just 10%. Fortunately Isla has been accepted in to a clinical trial treatment in America which has the potential to massively reduce chances of relapse. Isla’s end of treatment scans must show no evidence of disease to make this possible. They must also raise the necessary funds.

Isla's family urgently needs to raise £155k by February - a huge amount of money in a short space of time.

So to help raise funds, with a group of friends we will be walking 155kms (around four marathons) over four days (hopefully). We will start in Medway on day 1, then on to Hertfordshire day 2 to see Isla and her family, then back down to the outskirts of West London day 3 and finishing at GOSH London, where Isla has received her treatment so far by the end of day 4.

This will be a real challenge and any support you can give us to help Isla get the treatment she needs will make a real difference and would be appreciated.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and for your generosity.
