Islas Hair Donation

Rebecca Coates is raising money for Little Princess Trust

Hair Donation · 26 April 2021

The Little Princess Trust provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions. The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

Story

Hi, my name is Isla and I am 7 years old. I have been growing my hair for as many years, and love my hair. I have decided that I would like to donate some of my hair to make somebody else feel happy and confident. Anybody who knows me knows just how much I love my long hair, and is my signature look,  but I would like to donate it to someone who needs it more than me. When I found out about the little princess trust and what they do for other children I knew this was exactly what I wanted to do.

It costs £550 to create a wig from hair donations, so it would be amazing if you would help me raise some money for this great charity to send off with my hair, and together we can put a big happy smile on someone’s face.

If we can raise above and beyond this it would be absolutely amazing to help towards the research they do! Or towards the cost of making another wig.

When a child loses their hair to cancer or another condition, we'll be there with a free, real hair wig to help restore their confidence and identity. We won't stop until the research that we fund ends childhood cancer forever. Promise. Please visit us at www.littleprincesses.org.uk to find out how you can help us give young people back what cancer takes away. The Trust relies solely on the efforts of enthusiastic community fundraisers. We receive no formal funding. Please help to raise money for us so that we can help more families.
