Story
Ever wondered what's it's like to be cooped up in a small pen like one of the cats? Well I have, I wondered what happens when the visitors have gone home. Do the cats just sleep or do they get playful as night draws on? Does the centre have any nocturnal visitors?
So I've decided to spend 24 hours in a cat pen to understand a little about how it feels not having the choice to come and go. To be reliant on other people to bring me food and feel on show to the public. So my small thought turned into a great idea to fund raise for the Isle of Wight Adoption Centre. What could be better?
But I'm not going to spend all night on my own with the cats! So I've persuaded my mate and foster volunteer Dave to join me in the 24 hours challenge. We will have separate pens with our cats to be chosen nearer the time. Jo (Deputy) and Emma (VTL) will be onsite for assistance and to be sure we don't make a break for it lol!
So if you could find a little spare money, do sponsor our "24hr Lock In CHALLENGE" as it means a lot to us to help the cats in care.
Look out for live streams and night vision photos - find out what the cats really get up to. Thank you Sarah :-)
