EPT80in1 Challenge · 1 January 2022 to 1 October 2022 ·
Ectopic pregnancy is a common, life threatening condition that is the leading cause of death in early pregnancy. Around 1 in 80 pregnancies are ectopic. To highlight this common and life-threatening condition, I am tackling 80 miles in one month with the #EPT80in1 challenge in August. That’s 2.6 miles a day.
On 25th June 2022 I had emergency surgery to remove an ectopic pregnancy from my ruptured, left fallopian tube. Accepting and coming to terms with the loss of my pregnancy and the trauma and shock this had on me was, and still is extremely hard.
The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust were there for me, providing information and guidance on my recovery and healing. They provided me with amazing care and emotional support in the weeks after my loss. Pregnancy loss is scary and lonely, but the EPT were at the end of the phone to answer my question listen to me cry.
This charity is amazing and your donations and support mean the world.
