We are a small group of student ambassadors who support the work of Freedom from Torture by campaigning, raising awareness and fundraising. We will each be running/ walking 10k (or more!) over the course of our Christmas break to raise money for this important cause! Amongst other things, FFT provides psychological therapy to asylum seekers and refugees to help them rebuild their lives in the UK. FFT campaigns to raise awareness and create change in the UK and beyond including working with decision-makers and educating the general public. Recent work involves campaigning against the 'Anti Refugee' Nationality and Borders Bill. Especially after the recent tragedy with migrant deaths in the channel, we believe this is a really important issue to tackle and educate others on. Any donations would be appreciated no matter how big or small (we understand it is an expensive time of year!)
