When Issy was born at 37 weeks we were overwhelmed by her, enjoying every cuddle and telling family and friends she was here. After just 3 hours Issy was admitted to NICU. She needed some extra help and we were very lucky that it was just on the next floor from us. Some of the other families had to travel or stay in the brilliant home from home flats. To have your new baby suddenly taken away was frightening, and no new mum & dad should be separated from their baby. The Midwives and staff at jessops were amazing, supportive, caring, patient, understanding and helpful. After 2 weeks in special care Issy was allowed home and she hasn't looked back! Issy will be walking like a superhero with us and her baby sister to raise money so that future special babies and families get the care that they need. They also supported us with baby Linell 2 to try and make sure that she didn't have to go to NICU - emmie was early too but we were home after 36 hours! Both the girls middle names, Grace (NICU) and Faith (daycare) were named after the midwives that helped keep our girls safe. We will be forever grateful.
