My friend Ravi and I are cycling from Cambridge to Istanbul this summer in aid of African Prisons Project (APP). The total distance comes to 4600km and we are going to cycle 100km a day in hot French, Italian and Mediterranean weather. 

APP is a truly inspiring charity. It seeks to provide humane living conditions, healthcare and education to prisoners in Uganda. It has saved many lives: by providing legal education it has helped prisoners overturn their death penalties by themselves, overcoming the disfunctioning legal system which sentenced them to death without any legal assistance or trial by jury. We hope to raise £5000 for APP. This would help to provide 10 prisons with a portable library with adult literacy, health and legal education materials, as well as educators to bring the books to life.
