Story

Please support my Son Benjamin and I, we are taking part in the 2.6 challenge for Dame Vera Lynn Children’s Charity, we support children under 5 with cerebral palsy and other motor impairments.

We, my 8-year-old son and I, will be running 2.6 km everyday for 10 days to raise funds.

I work at Dame Vera Lynn Children’s Charity as a physiotherapist to lead
sessions for our families and children.

We are facing a very challenging time at the moment but we are doing our very best to continue to support our families through this.

We are now providing weekly video Conductive Education-based one to one sessions for individual families via Zoom. We are also sharing exercises that our parents can do with their children at home to carry on working on fine and gross motor function, balance and posture and that will help them towards their individual learning goals.

As helpful as these online sessions are, we are looking forward to the
day we can open our doors to families again so they can access our entire service.

Due to the Covid-19 crisis, we have been forced to cancel all of our
upcoming fundraising events in the coming months, which means that we will miss out on the vital funds these events would have raised for us.

Please donate to ensure we can continue to support our families.

Thank you
