At Macmillan, we will move mountains to help people with cancer live life as fully as they can. We’re doing whatever it takes. But without your help we can’t support everyone who needs us. To donate, volunteer, raise money or campaign with us, call 0300 1000 200 or visit macmillan.org.uk

Story

To mark International Translation Day on Friday 30 September, ITI has teamed up with eCPD Webinars to hold a one-hour informal virtual coffee morning for translators and interpreters at 10.30 am. This will be an opportunity to “meet up” with colleagues and discuss topics of mutual interest. The platform will be GoToWebinar. To ensure things run smoothly, we are inviting participants to send their topics or questions in advance although there will be opportunities for spontaneous discussion. We expect this event to be of particular interest to newcomers to translation and interpreting but would be delighted if our more experienced colleagues could join us to share their experiences and points of view. It’s a coffee morning, so just pop in for a bit, say hello and have a natter about CAT tools, networking, CPD etc. over a virtual coffee and biscuits. You don’t have to be a member of ITI to take part.

The event is totally free of charge but as the idea was inspired by the MacMillan Coffee Morning campaign, we are inviting all participants to make a donation to MacMillan Cancer Support through this JustGiving page. If you cannot attend but wish to donate, please don’t hold back!
