Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

ITP Engines UK Ltd has for the last couple of years been an active supporter of PROSTaid, (www.prostaid.co.uk).   PROSTaid is a local independent charity (reg. no. 1116935) with the goals of raising awareness and providing support to prostate cancer sufferers and their families.

For 2011, I have been invited to take part in the Thomas May Executive Quest, a unique charity challenge for 50 CEOs of companies and organisations in Leicestershire. The Quest is in support of two Leicestershire charities, LOROS Leicestershire & Rutland Hospice and PROSTaid’s Prostate Cancer Palliative Care nurse working across the county to support men who are sadly at the end of their treatment journey.

The challenge I have chosen to attempt is to raise money for the charities by completing a cycle ride from the ITPUK office in Whetstone, Leicester to the ITP S.A. office in Zamudio, Bilbao.  A trip of over 1,000 miles.  For this trip I will be joined by 3 colleagues (Mark Eaton, Howard Harris and Adrian Hill), supporting us along the route will be Henri Brouquet and Julian Thomas.  The ride will start from the ITP site in Whetstone at mid-day on the 14th May 2011 and we expect to complete the journey over 11 days. If you'd like to follow our progress or learn more, please visit our blog at http://cyclebilbao.wordpress.com/. During the ride we'll also post updates via Twitter @cyclebilbao
