London Marathon 2021

London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I’m Andrew Leitch, a Weegie doctor living in Newcastle upon Tyne. After detesting soggy afternoons running cross country when the rugby pitches were frozen as a school boy; I came to running in my mid-twenties as a way to keep fit when I got tired of cleaning my bike after yet another wet ride.
After a few years of recurrent injuries, I managed to build up the resilience to finish my first marathon in 2016 - Berlin - in a time of 04:24:25. A year later I had planned on running the Great North Run for MS Society though was unable to due to a fractured patella. I thought I’d never again run another marathon.
Then I met my - now fiancée - Megan, who had completed the London Marathon in 04:06:38 in 2015. There was only one thing for it. Finish the London Marathon in a quicker time than Megan… and raise some money for MS Society in the process.
Again, thank you very much for visiting my JustGiving page; and thank you kindly for your generous donation.
Andrew
