Set you own cycling challenge to complete within these two weeks in support of the STV Children's Appeal. A great annual event organised by Claverhouse Rotary that can be enjoyed by both serious cyclists, or friends and families looking for fun.

Story

Did you know that 1 in 4 children and young people in Scotland live below the poverty line? The plight of these youngsters has worsened even further due to the ravages of the pandemic. Their families have to choose whether to eat or heat the house today.

The STV Children's Appeal, now reaching its 10th Anniversary, addresses the needs of these youngsters by providing practical help like food and clothing or creating opportunities for training and employment or supplying social and emotional support to help affected young people overcome their difficulties.

The STV Appeal can only succeed if they have the funds to do so. This is where you and I come in - by helping to raise funds to give these  young kiddies the support they need to start their lives with a fighting chance, which they richly deserve.

To mark the STV Children's Appeal 10th Anniversary, I will be cycling 10 miles per day over 10 days on an exercise bike in David Lloyd's Gym. Wife Margot says that I would be a liability cycling on the roads and would need to head for Ninewells Hospital as I would end up there in any event.

Please sponsor me with a kind donation  and, between us, as a team, we will be able to make such a difference to those kiddies who desperately need our help.
