This year I will be running the Great North Run in memory of my daughter Ivy Davies. I will be raising money for the charity 4louis, who have helped my wife and I through this heart-breaking time. This will be the first of several fund-raising events my wife and I will be participating in over the coming months.

Ivy was born sleeping on the 4^th November 2019, and although our time together was short, she will live with us and we will love her forever.

When we found out we were having a baby we were shocked. After telling our family and friends we couldn't have been more excited. 

We were told that our baby wasn't well and would likely not survive early in the pregnancy. After coming back to the UK and undergoing tests, we found out we were having a baby girl and although she would need some operations, she was likely to make a full recovery.

We flew 1000s of miles on a regular basis to give our baby a chance to be part of our family. After making the trip back again in November, we were given the devastating news that our beautiful baby girl had not survived.

Without 4Louis we wouldn't have the memories that we have. They give you a chance to keep things such as hand and footprints. Things you wouldn't think of yourself in those moments of grief, but things you will cherish forever.

We want to raise some money for this important charity, as well as keep Ivy's memory alive.

We will love and miss her forever.
