We have a very special little greyhound girlie under our care who is sadly very nearly blind.

We have taken Ivy to see a consultant at the Animal Health Trust who has carried out lots of tests, these have revealed that Ivy has cataracts on both eyes. Apparently Ivy was born with misshapen lenses in both eyes which has caused the cataracts, both her eyes are inflamed and in her right eye the jelly behind the lens is leaking and the pressure is the high end of normal.

BUT... we have had some wonderful news from the AHT specialist to say that there is a chance to restore her eyesight. To be able to achieve this for Ivy it will cost approximately £5,000. The AHT have very kindly offered us a 50% discount as we are a registered charity, but we still need to raise the remaining £2,500.  So we are appealing to anyone who may have a few pounds spare to put towards her surgery.

Ivy is an absolute poppet who is only about 18 months old with a heart of gold and we will try our VERY hardest to help her live her life to the full!
