International Women's Day Lunch · 11 March 2017

We promote physical and mental wellbeing to the most deprived and vulnerable people in Islington by befriending older people, recruiting mental health champions, helping people eat more healthily, helping those recovering from strokes, providing advocacy for refugees and teaching children aged 2-5.

Story

The Dahlia Project is a specialist service for women who have undergone Female Genital Mutilation, run by the Health Advocacy Service.

The Dahlia Project aims to provide a safe space for women who have experienced FGM. We provide therapeutic support groups in areas of London where there is need so that women can access support easily. We ensure a safe and non-judgemental environment for all women.

If you or someone you know would benefit from this service please contact us on the number below to arrange a referral 020 7281 7694 or email Alev Erce alev@manorgardenscentre.org

The Health Advocacy Service can also provide additional support to survivors of FGM, including referrals to specialist clinics. If we cannot offer adequate support for particular queries and issues, we will direct you to more appropriate services. The Health Advocacy Service also provides a range of training and community workshops delivered by FGM specialists. For more information about our work on FGM please see  www.manorgardenscentre.org/tackling-fgm.
