Story
The Proclaimers sang about it, now i'm going to do it... I WILL walk 500 miles! (but I probably won't walk 500 more)
As many of you know, this is a cause that's particularly close to my heart (pardon the pun). My Dad was diagnosed with Atrial Fibrillation in 2018 and recently became walking proof of what supporting the work of charities such as BHF can do. He's currently participating in an advanced monitoring program following the use of a pioneering device that is set to revolutionise the treatment of persistent AF- something which was developed during a study partially funded by charity.
This summer, I will be taking part in a series of Ultra Challenges, varying in length from 50 to 100km (listed below) and totaling in excess of 500 miles, all in aid of British Heart Foundation.
Please, dig deep and donate whatever you can to sponsor me to take on this challenge and raise much needed funds for BHF to carry on their pioneering research which allows scientists to better understand how to diagnose, prevent, treat and cure heart conditions.
Thank you for your support x
