Izzy's running the marathon

London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·
I will be lacing up this Sunday to run the 2021 Virgin London Marathon and raise money for the MS Society.
My mum Carole was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis six years ago, after years of tests. MS is an unpredictable and incurable autoimmune condition that affects the nervous system. No-one with MS can be sure when or how it will affect them next. It can attack suddenly or progress steadily, bringing a range of symptoms which can include muscle spasticity, overwhelming fatigue and mobility problems. The primary progressive form of the condition my Mum suffers from is the most severe expression, and is with her all the time.
The MS Society is a leading MS Charity in the UK, funding vital research into the causes of MS and possible treatments. They also provide a helpline service, answering the calls of those looking for advice and support. They believe that together, we are strong enough to stop MS.
It’s been a long road to the marathon start line featuring a fractured fibula, third degree burns from a treadmill and a locked SI joint, but the 26.2 is now hopefully in sight!
We’d be incredibly grateful for any and all donations which will go towards helping the MS Society continue their work in supporting people affected by MS and their loved ones.
Thank you so much for your support!
Big love and gros bisous
