Story
On 4th August I will be attempting a FKT (fastest known time) of running from coast to coast - a 84 mile run from one side of the country to the other. The current fastest time was set by a guy at 16hr 25mins, therefore I will be attempting to run it in 16 hours.
This run is not an organised race, just a chance for me to test the legs on a record time, and get to see two different English coasts in one day. The motivation for me to keep running will come from my cousin Stu, who passed away 3 years ago this summer.
Stu was a keen rugby player who sadly lost his life to a brain tumour, lived far longer than doctors said. His grit and determination to keep pushing on always motivates me on my long runs. Every long race I have undertaken I've written his name on my arm, and this run will be no exception.
If you have any spare pennies to donate to such an important cause, then please donate! And maybe this challenge I am about to embark on will encourage you to do something you never thought you would too.
