Izzy's Run 4 Refugees

Royal Parks Half Marathon 2021 · 10 October 2021 ·
On May 23rd, 2021, I'm joining #teamhumanity and running the London Landmarks Half Marathon. I'll be running 13.1 miles, and I need your support to make every step worth it by supporting Refugee Action.
If you know me, you'll know that I’m passionate about raising awareness of refugee rights and inspiring people to fight against unjust migration policy. Alongside writing and researching refugee rights over at @therefugeerightsproject, I want to take a stand and make a difference by running for Refugee Action.
This will be a huge personal challenge as well since I’ve never run any further than 7km, so I’m excited to get stuck into training! I’m also pledging right now that if the race itself is cancelled due to Covid-19 restrictions, I’ll still be running the full length of the half marathon wherever I can on the day.
I believe everyone who has been forced to flee their home should have:
-Safe routes to safety.
-A chance to rebuild their lives with support and dignity.
-The right to work in the UK whilst awaiting refugee status.
If you agree, please donate what you can today to Refugee Action so they can continue their incredible work fighting for these changes. Literally,
no amount is too small (or too large…), it all adds up, so every single donation is much appreciated! I’m kicking things off by donating £50 of my own
money, and I hope you’ll pitch in and show your support for refugees and people
seeking asylum as well.
All donations will go towards refugee action's vital work supporting survivors of war, conflict, crisis and violence to rebuild their lives.
£10 provides a refugee family with essential supplies.£50 helps someone seeking safety to find accommodation.
The rights of refugees in the UK and refugees hoping to reach the UK have never been more under threat so please, give what you can.
Thank you for your support!
