So last year I cycled Lands End John O'Groats in 14 days in support of Diabetes UK, raising almost £1,700 thanks to my supporters.

 I have got the taste for adventure and a similar challenge (aside from the hotter weather and the French language) is to cycle from the port of Ouistreham near  Caen on the French side if the English Channel 877 miles the length of France finishing in Nice on the Mediterranean coast. Just to make it interesting we take on Mont Ventoux often featured in the Tour de France 19 miles of climbing, ascending 1550 metres This epic bicycle ride will commence on 15th September and be completed   ( hopefully) on 29th September
