Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page!
In May 2022, our amazing daddy was shockingly diagnosed with a Glioblastoma tumour (GBM). This has motivated us to attempt to contribute to an incredibly necessary change. Research into all brain tumours is still very poorly funded, with less than 5% of money used on cancer research each year spent on brain tumours.
We want there to be possibility and hope for other families in the future who will sadly have to go through such a thing as ours, and we want to encourage much needed awareness and research into GBM.
Dad is our hero. He always inspired us with his motivation and determination with all of his different running challenges, and so we’re running the Cambridge Half Marathon on 5th March 2023. Considering Ju has never run further than 5k in her life, the half marathon itself will be more than enough of a challenge for her. As for Al, would be unfair to encourage donations for something she does every other week, so she will be sporting Dad's favourite running trainers! To complete the trifecta, Will has been roped in, and let's be honest... we'll be lucky if he doesn't run it in flip flops and hollister trackies x
Thank you everyone!! Xxxxx
