On the 7th July I will be attempting to complete 'The Marmotte.' Covering a distance of 174.4 km (108.4 mi) and with 5,180 m (16,990 ft) of climbing in 1 day, the route is considered to be one of the hardest of any cyclosportive and comparable to the most challenging high mountain stages of the Tour de France. 

I am doing this to raise money for BeatAsthma, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with asthma. This vital money will help maintain and develop the valuable online resource for families and health professionals which is helping to standardise children's asthma care across the region
