Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis is a condition in which the lungs become scarred causing breathing to become increasingly difficult. Currently there is no treatment  and on average, an individual with IPF has a life expectancy of 3-4 years.

Action for pulmonary fibrosis  is doing amazing work to help those affected by pulmonary fibrosis and their families. As this condition has affected our family recently, I wanted to raise awareness by running the 10k Great Manchester! My family and friends will tell you, I've never particularly been good at running or sports in general! I've barely broken 5k in one go without taking a long time to do it, so this will definitely be a challenge!
