J2’s chosen charity for 2021 is Tree of Hope – ‘Give George Freedom’.

Here at J2 we all pull together to support each other and you won’t find a team more committed when we’re set a challenge.

George is the son of our Creative Planning Director, Anita, and they’re in need of our help. All of us at J2 have joined forces to raise money for George, Anita and her family to make life a little easier for them, so you can expect to hear about us taking part in a number of activities throughout the year.

George is a happy seven year old boy that melts the hearts of everyone he meets. He has a Rare Chromosome Disorder that is so rare he’s the only person worldwide diagnosed with it. It has a huge impact on his life, meaning he is similar in development to a one year old, can’t yet walk or talk, and has to rely on others for every aspect of his care. He also has autism, suffers daily seizures due to epilepsy and has a gastrostomy to help him to eat and drink.

For George to join in with all the everyday little things the rest of his family enjoys they need the funds to adapt their home and install equipment that will keep him safe and make it more accessible for him. Together we’re hoping to raise the money to create level access for his wheelchair and add a much needed wet room with a track and hoist.

Our target is £25,000 but the absolute dream would be to treble this and raise £75,000 to create the space for a carer to stay overnight to help care for George. Julian, our MD has also made a personal pledge to match fund any monies raised up to the first £3,000, so every pound donated will effectively be two.
