Having carried out a couple of events on the behalf of the Christie in the past couple of years I felt I needed to do something this year for the absolutely amazing charity. 

I was sat at home on a Sunday night after eating some cake, then an email came through from the Great Manchester run. I always wanted to  do it but it was 3 weeks later, I will never have time to train. I then thought, why not raise some money for a brilliant Cancer hospital and shed the cake I have been eating recently. 

Next thing I know I have my running trainers on and I am pounding the streets of Greater Manchester..... 

If you can spare a couple of quid I will post some embarrassing pictures of me turning a nice beetroot colour after running in excess of 13 miles. It is for a great cause and could help save lives.
