Story

Flat 27 (Jack Cahill, Patrick Dobinson & Daniel Solbe) has decided to run 100 miles in 31 days in May for a cause that we are passionate about! Every bit of money you can donate is so important and is so visibly needed and used in all the terrific work Azalea does. We know this is the toughest year in terms of money many have possibly ever had, we value and love all you can give, we truly mean it. Jack is always available to share his personal experiences working for Azalea, and all the powerful work they do so please reach out to understand more.

We can't wait to get active, although none of us are natural enjoyers of running, we've decided to run the distance to make sure the viewing of our progress and journey is as fun as possible, and as painful for us... As such, we will be setting time goals, and taking many pictures! We love and encourage you to possibly do your own fundraising page, please read more about the cause, as sex trafficking and the violence towards the women trapped within this evil has only been further escalating in COVID life unfortunately. So please support our page and financial goal to support Azalea Luton! Sex trafficking, exploitation, is right on all of our doorsteps, and we want to fight for those individuals who are trapped within it, and our being so powerfully helped by Azalea. You could run, swim, cycle or walk yourself and set up your own page, you would also be most welcome to join us on a run! Our bodies are somehow already breaking down at 24 years of age, problems arising already from running sporadically in preparation include; severe chafing, blisters, pain in every muscle and bone below our waist. But it is our pleasure to take on this challenge, and we will complete it by the grace of God!

We must acknowledge also, that we run for Carol Cahill, who served at and raised money for Azalea last year, and brought awareness to all of us around this organisation. We love, miss, and honour you by following your beautiful example. Thank you for placing me at Azalea, Mumma, your presence and love radiate in the building every day and hopefully through me. Love Jack x

Azalea supports and cares for over 140 women each year, helping each one take steps towards walking free from being caught up in sex trafficking. Women like Nadia. Her every movement is controlled by a perpetrator and she doesn't get to choose when she comes to Azalea. She is often desperately hungry, exhausted, suffering from unimaginable trauma and mental health challenges. Nadia walks for over an hour to get to Azalea, but she does it knowing that she will be warmly welcomed when she arrives, given a hot meal and for a short time be in a place where she feels safe and significant. Nadia's walk is a challenge. Mine is to complete 100 miles in May to raise funds for Azalea.
