Story
Thankyou so much for taking the time to visit my page.
The Lelung Dharma Trust has always been a charity very close to my heart, thanks to the work of my mother, my good friend Lelung Rinpoche and the volunteers of the trust.
The charity plays a crucial role in saving the very fabric of Buddhism- age old teachings and scriptures that have for many years been passed orally but have recently, for a number of complex reasons, been lost. It also supports Tibetan people and aims to ease a growing level of poverty, sickness and distress amongst them.
I personally see Buddhism as a way of life, as much as a religion, and truly believe it can solve many of the world's problems. For me, any work with the goal of achieving a more peaceful world and creating a better understanding of our impact on the planet and all its sentient beings is one that I feel I must support.
If you feel this cause is a difficult one to grasp or to support, please follow the link below to watch a documentary on Lelung Rinpoche and the Lelung Dharma Trust. It's a great watch!

Specifically, I will be running for the 'Preservation of the Lelung Teachings' project.
The Lelung Literature Preservation Centre was set up in 2003 in Dharamsala in North India. Its mission is to compile, transcribe and publish the works of the 5th Lelung Rinpoche, Pema Zhepai Dorje. Twenty two of the forty six volumes of this work have now been printed and published.
In the future it is Lelung Rinpoches intention to translate these forty six volumes into English so that students worldwide can study and practice this significant work. Joanna Lumley is the patron of this translation project.
Thanks in advance for donating, if you choose to, and feel free to join our team of LDT runners on the day. We'll need all the support we can get!
All the best.
Jack
