Greater Manchester Marathon · 8 April 2018

We are dedicated to improving the quality of life and chances of survival for young cancer patients aged 13-24. We fund and build specialist units in NHS hospitals and provide dedicated staff, bringing young people together so they can be treated by teenage cancer experts in the best place for them.

Story

On Tuesday 12th September 2017, my 14 year old sister, Lauren Fishman was diagnosed with bone cancer. It was a massive shock to me, my family and obviously my wonderful sister Lauren. Everyone is staying so strong in this tough period but I wanted to do an event which would raise awareness and money for this charity now so close to my heart.

So, I will be running in "The 9bar Sunrise to Sunset Challenge - Half Marathon" on Wednesday 27th December 2017 in Shrewsbury and the "Mad Dash 20K" on Saturday 17th February 2018 in Warwick.

My grand finale, to top this all off, I will be running in the "ASICS Greater Manchester Marathon" on Sunday 8th April 2018.

It will be a tough challenge in such a short period of time but I want to make people aware that things like this are happening like this all the time in modern day life and I would like everybody to pull together to try and raise as much money as we possibly can to go towards the Teenage Cancer Trust, a charity that is now so close to my whole families heart.
