Fun Runnin' for Dudley Zoo · 10 June 2020

DZC is not only home to a large collection of endangered species, but also an 11th century castle, the world's largest single collection of Tecton buildings, and an important geological site. DZC has something to offer all - and a chance to get closer to some of the world's rarest animals.

Story

Hello, my name is Jack and I am 8 years old from Birmingham.

My mom was telling me about how zoos all across the country are struggling because they aren't allowed to open yet because of the coronavirus. She said because they are charities, they don't have enough money and might have to close forever!

We saw lots of other people fundraising to help other zoos, so I decided that I want to do something to help Dudley Zoo! This is our favourite zoo and I would be sad if it closed forever.

Starting on the 10th June, I am going to run 5 laps of a field in our local park, for 5 days in a fancy dress costume! My mom will record me and take photos. I would really love it if people could sponsor me and help raise some money to save Dudley Zoo!!

THANK YOU.
