Jack's London Marathon Fundraising Page

London Marathon 2023 · 23 April 2023 ·
Here we go again sports fans! 3 years after I was meant to run the London Marathon, way back before Covid had other ideas, it looks like I might actually be in danger of running it this year and so I am once again asking for your financial support.
Quick update, Virgin Money Giving went bust so hence the new fund raising page. Anyone that donated in 2020, don't worry, the charities got their money (thank you!) and please don’t feel like you have to donate again if you did last time. The reason for the very specific, odd-looking target number is it's simply the balance of the £3,000 target that was left to raise after the 2020 donations.
Alexander Devine Children's Hospice Service is a charity that provides specialist care and vital support to babies, children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and their families, across Berkshire and into surrounding counties. The hospice runs at a daily cost of over £6,000 and with zero funding from local authorities your donations are so vitally important for them to be able to continue their amazing work.
It would be easy to under promise and over deliver but in the spirit of keeping myself accountable and the pressure on, I'm going to share with everyone the time I really want to complete the marathon in - 3:30hrs - so there you go.
If you see me running around Maidenhead, Bourne End, Cookham or Marlow feel free to hurl some abuse or drive a little bit closer to that puddle and then do me a favour and be sure to donate. Every penny really counts.
I would absolutely love for as many of you to come down on Sunday 23 April and soak up the amazing atmosphere (and beers) on the day - your support will be very much appreciated!
Jack
