Suicide is increasing by 6.9% YoY amongst UK demographics.
Leading causes such as depression, anxiety and financial stress have been compounded by the pandemic and, as we enter a cost of living crisis, disproportionately affecting lower income households. It is predicted that people in the most disadvantaged areas of the UK are 10x more likely to take their own lives.
In 2021, 8 million people in the UK struggling with mental health were left unsupported - leaving the NHS with no choice but to turn to charities like CALM. CALM have already seen a 25% increase in calls to their money helpline in early 2022.
It only costs £8 for CALM to answer a potentially lifesaving call or webchat. Your support will help CALM continue to be there for anyone who needs them. CALM is there for everyone struggling with life, no matter who they are, where they're from or what they're going through. Whether that be mental health issues, debt, addiction, job loss, divorce, homelessness, they've got your backs. I am proud to stand with CALM, and together, fight and unite against living miserably.
