Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!

I'm taking part in the London Triathlon 2017 on the 23rd July!!

It started out as a personal challenge but if it can be used as a means of raising money for charity it would be crazy not to! I've chosen Parkinson's UK as it is a desease my legendary Granddad, Walter 'Bamps' Thomas struggled with in his later days. It's extremely debilitating and severly impacts quality of life by impacting both physical movement and mental health. Parkinson's UK are working to fund improved care and research into new treatments with a cure being the end goal.

The Olympic Triathlon Distance constists of a 1.5km swim, a 40km bike and ends with a 10km run. If putting myself through this torture contributes even a small amount to improving care for Parkinson's then no doubt crossing the finish line will feel that little bit sweeter!

A simple 'Thanks' doesn't quite suffice showing my appreciation for anyone that donates so I can only promise to push myself a little harder for every £ that is donated! You're the real MVPs.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
