If you haven’t met me… I’m Jack Rodgers, 24 years old from Wilmslow. I work within the Commercial Property Industry for Avison Young, with wonderful friends and family behind me.

Cancer Research is a charity which is very close to my heart, as some of my family have had to battle cancer, with some winning their fights and some not. Unfortunately, I lost my mum to Breast Cancer 18 years ago in 2005. My mum fought hard for years to try and beat the disease but unfortunately didn’t win her battle.  Devastatingly, last year we lost a another member of the family, Wilf (Step-Grandad) to cancer. 

The loses we have experienced as a family has  motivated me to contribute as much as possible to Cancer Research as through the brilliant work and research they do, more lives can be hopefully saved! 

I saw this Charity Fight as a opportunity to; raise money for a great cause, to get fit and potentially embarrass myself in front friends & family! 

Cancer is the largest killer in the UK…In one way or another, most people will have to face cancer personally or will have had to support a loved one in difficult times.  1 in 2 of us get cancer at some point in our lives, so let’s try make a change and beat it!
