Cheltenham Half Marathon 2018 · 30 September 2018 ·

Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

I have set up this page to raise money for the British Heart Foundation;

Earlier this year my father, John Manser, unexpectedly passed away from a heart attack. He was a devoted father, a generous and loving man genuinely adored by all who knew him. There has not been a single day that he hasn't crossed my mind and I want to take an active role in the fundraising effort to help the fight against the nations biggest killer.

I'll be running the Cheltenham half marathon in September, a (mostly uphill!) 13 mile run around Cheltenham. This will be a huge challenge for me as the only things I have ever run for in my life have been buses or trains but for this I am determined!

A donation would be massively appreciated no matter the size but any kind words would also mean a lot to me and the family - a fundraiser had been set up around the time of the passing and raised just short of £2000 and I want to thank everybody that helped chip in there.

Each and every person that was lucky enough to know him throughout his life will understand how much of a loss his passing was to the world, and if we can raise money for the cause then hopefully in the future lives can be saved and losses from this may be avoided.
