Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Having sponsored an HIV positive child in a Brighter Future home for some time, and also met the top man (and he is!) Victor Parisipogula on several occasions, I know how genuine and caring this charity is, all the donations given go directly to the charity, there are no highly paid directors here. When I last met Victor, I asked him if there was anything he wanted that they had never been able to have, as a special project, and he told me that, as a Christian charity, they had always wanted to have a small chapel built, as they currently had to use existing parts of the homes, but funding always had to go for other essential uses. That rang a very loud bell with me and I felt that I had to do something significant to try and achieve that aim for Brighter Futures, and Victor.
On September 8th, I will travel, alone, to Newcastle by train to start 7 days of backpacking across Hadrian's Wall, a few days after I get back I will be celebrating my 68th birthday, it will be a significant achievement for me, but more importantly it will be more significant for the children and adults in Brighter Future International homes in India, who all suffer from either HIV or Leprosy.
In November, I will be travelling to the homes in Andhra Padesh, India with a small group from our church, and it would be wonderful to be able to reach this goal, and give Brighter Future International Trust the chapel that they so want.
Please give generously, think of my feet, and my back, but most of all think of the wonderful work done by Bright Futures International Trust homes in India, for those infinitely less fortunate than us.
