Wishes 4 Kids was launched in 2002 with the object of granting a 'wish' for Leicestershire children of eighteen years and below who are life-limited, terminally ill, have suffered severe mental / physical / emotional trauma, those who have been abused and those diagnosed as HIV positive.

Story

Jack Adcock was a very special little boy that was tragically taken from us on the 18 February 2011.  He touched the hearts of everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him and always made you laugh with his cheeky smile.

Nicky and Vic, Jack parents, have recently received a lot of press coverage and many of you may have read the events in the local and national papers or may have seen the television news coverage surrounding Jack’s inquest as Jack passed away whilst he was under the care of the Leicester Royal Infirmary.  His parents have brought the story to the press for no financial gain, in fact as well as being emotionally drained they have been financially drained too.

Whilst Jack was with us he led a very full life and although he had Down’s Syndrome this never stopped him enjoying it to the full and his parents always made sure there was never a dull moment.  Wishes 4 Kids arranged a very special trip for Jack and his parents, along with Jack’s sister Ruby to visit Disneyland Paris and in order to make other children’s lives special we have set up this page so that we can raise funds for this great charity in Jack’s memory.  We are also raising funds for the Leicestershire Down’s Syndrome Group, who also played a very big part in Jack’s Life, through another fundraising event.

Nicky and Vic would like to thank everyone for the amazing support they have received at this very sad time.
