Event: Maia's Memory Walk 2017, on 30 April 2017
Hawes to Hardraw (2.5 mile) along the Pennine Way on Sunday 30th April. Meeting at the Dales Countryside Museum DL8 3NT at 10:30 to start 11am. Ending with a balloon launch at The Green Dragon Inn.

Story

Maia was born to Gemma and Joe, who we met at our NCT antenatal classes. She was the most beautiful happy little girl.

Unbelievably she was diagnosed with an extremely rare illness and none of us could believe it when we were told she would not live to her 1st birthday and she passed away aged 11 months.

The dedication shown by Gemma and Joe to making sure that Maia lived her short life to the full and that every moment of joy and happiness was squeezed out of it was the most beautiful and inspiring thing to see. Maia and her family had the most amazing and exciting adventures, creating beautiful memories for them all to cherish.

Gemma and Joe have set up this charity to help other families that have children with life limiting conditions,  so that other families are able to create their own memories to last a lifetime.

The charity will be launched with this 2.5 mile sponsored walk from Hawes to Hardraw on 30 April 2017 and Jack and Agnes will be completing it (with help from Mummy and Daddy). Please help them to raise as much money as possible to support the launch and work of this amazing charity.
