4-week project to help educate children out of poverty in Fiji · 1 June 2019

We support Fiji's National Development Goals, increasing opportunity for children and youths living in rural Fijian communities.

Story

In July I will be spending a month in a traditional Fijian village with the Think Pacific Foundation to help underprivileged children have better access to education, health, infrastructure and opportunity. 75% of children in Fiji live below the poverty line, with only 1/2 of them having access to adequate sanitation and clean water. During my stay I'll be living with a Fijian family with no electricity / wifi or hot water. As a volunteer I'll be helping kids aged 2 - 14 with their Maths & English, as well as coaching sports and other extra-curricular activities in the local schools.

Think Pacific are a small organisation who work closely with the Fijian Government to do amazing things for the underprivileged communities in Fiji  - check out their website for more info www.thinkpacific.com.

As an effort to raise money for my project I will be bidding farewell to my average trim and shaving my hair off  - any donations are much appreciated and will go to the Think Pacific Foundation (funded travel, vaccinations & insurance myself).

Hugely appreciate it in advance! Cheers <3
