Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Please help with as little or as much as you can, every pound will really make a difference! I have chosen to run for Diabetes UK in memory of my nan who sadly died last year. I ran the BUPA 10km last year for the RNIB in memory of her too but I have chosen Diabetes UK this time as it was contracting diabetes late in life which led to her blindness. The sooner a cure can be found for diabetes, the more people who can be saved from the ultimate effects of this illness.

This event will be a personal challenge not just to raise as much money in my nan's memory as possible but also to me. It will be my first half-marathon and I wanted to do this last year but my left knee was not strong enough. I still have the dodgy knee but I have decided to pursue this challenge after getting the OK from the specialist, and because I don't want to put it off any longer (hence the late turnaround for fundraising)! So please dig deep and donate whatever you can, it will be hard but worth it!
