Story

It’s now 6 years since my amazing husband Rick first received the news we all dread... he was diagnosed with Bowel Cancer.

In 2018 it returned this time spreading to his liver & pancreas. Never once has he moaned or complained, he maintains an incredible positive attitude & continues to support me and our 8 fantastic children every day.

I am sat writing this as Rick has his 35th cycle of chemotherapy, he has to have treatment every other week but still remains a pillar of strength.

I sit in awe of all those undergoing this treatment & when Bowel Cancer offered Rick 6 “shirts” to get a team together to run the London Marathon I thought the least I could do was to put on the running shoes & step right out of my comfort zone!

I will be doing this on behalf of my best friend & husband Rick as well as a very close friend who was diagnosed toward the end of 2019, she too is an incredible inspiration of positivity & strength.

Any donation big or small will mean so much to ALL TEAM RICK but most of all to us as a family as you have all been TOTALLY AMAZING on this journey with us.

Much love Jackie xxxx
